Why is SmartSketch of Interest?

• It is another company's approach to market territory similar to that which Visio addresses.
   
• It appears to have a somewhat more "technical drawing" pedigree and orientation than Visio, with emphasis on process control and other industrial applications.  SmartSketch has features which explicitly address animation of mechanical drawings.
  
• Although SmartSketch exposes an Automation interface, it does not include the VBA environment.
